How does a Monthly Donation help tamariki?
Becoming a Regular Giver is an incredible way to support Plunket as we set the path of wellness in our communities. It's more than a one-time gift - it's making a lasting impact on whānau. It's helping them thrive.
Here are some ways that monthly giving to Plunket has a tangible, positive effect on the programmes that Plunket offers families during the early years:
- $30 a month helps keep our 200+ community groups running. Playgroups, whānau groups and Plunket in the Neighbourhood (PIN) groups support families with opportunities to connectw ith a nurse, kaiāwhina and karitāne (trained health workers), and learn something new. Or simply pop in for a cuppa, a chat with a likeminded parent, and watch their wee one have some fun!
- $50 a month will fund 6 of those playgroup visits for one whānau. That's a consistent way for parents and their tamariki to build lasting relationships and stay connected to the care, expertise and support of Plunket nurses and their health-care workers.
- $100 a month will fund expert staff and services like lactation consultants and mental health support. You can make sure that parents receive all of the information they need when facing challenges like breastfeeding struggles, or the anxiety of caring for a newborn while juggling everything else.
